An independent medical evaluation (IME) is a type of assessment whereby a physician assesses a person's file and examines them to answer specific questions for an insurer or lawyer.
Typically, IMEs involve a review of the medical file, a history and examination of the claimant, and report preparation. Sometimes, a review of the medical literature is also required. IMEs do not constitute a physician-patient relationship, meaning that the evaluating physician will not be providing ongoing treatment to the claimant.
Our independent medical evaluations are objective, clear, and as unambiguous as possible.
